We worship in the sanctuary starting at 10:00 AM each Sunday. The service is also live-streamed service and is posted on the homepage of the church website about 9:50 a.m.
We start with a couple praise songs (some contemporary, some traditional). Words are projected on a screen! We stand and lift our hearts to the Lord. This is followed by announcements, and a responsive reading, usually a Psalm from the Bible.
Next is welcome and prayer offered by the pastor.
Joys and Concerns are brought before the Lord, and a prayer offered. We take the time to lift up both our blessings with thanks to God, and those things which make our hearts heavy, in hopes that God will provide healing, guidance or whatever is needed.
Next the worship leader reads either a lesson from the Old Testament or an Epistle from the New Testament. The pastor follows with a Gospel reading. A song is sometimes sung in between the two readings.
A message is next from the Pastor. Frequently we laugh, once in a while we shed a tear, but we are always uplifted, and we always learn something new about how Jesus is relevant to US in the 21st century.
After the message, we have an opportunity to give back to the Lord. As United Methodists, we are a connected church. A portion of each offering goes toward helping people around the world. During these tough financial times, we understand that some people are unable to make an offering.
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion. Everyone who wishes to walk in a new way with Jesus Christ is welcome at the Communion table.
We end our worship service with the Pastor’s benediction and challenge, followed by a parting hymn.
